Maximum Production: Lessons from Israeli Milk Cows
Another lesson I learned in Israel is one of my favorites. On our way to have lunch at the Sea of Galilee, we passed a dairy farm. We learned that Israeli milk cows are top producers because they are fed top notch food; they are safely and kindly kept; and they listen to relaxing music. I love that.
It sounded like our story as believers, and the answer to maximum Kingdom production in our lives for God. We hear His will for us in Matthew 11:28,
“Come to me,
all who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”
Safe in Him and at rest, He feeds us the best food as we see in Jeremiah 15:16,
“Your words were found, and I ate them,
and your words became to me a joy
and the delight of my heart,
for I am called by your name,
O LORD, God of hosts.”
Well fed, we grow in a place of love and kindness. Look at Jeremiah 31:3b,
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”
We rest in safety, well fed, and – like the Israeli cows who listen to good music – this is played over us,
“The LORD your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
Our Father loves us. It’s best for the Kingdom that we are at maximum production as we bear fruit for His glory. Our part is to abide in Him, in all He has provided for us in His glorious presence where there is fullness of joy.
