Happy 14th Anniversary Abide in Him!

We are celebrating fourteen years of official ministry, and I am so excited about what’s ahead in this fifteenth year. Coming out of a Sabbatical, I asked God to schedule some things ahead to be excited about. I am so grateful for all He is orchestrating, and for how he is providing.

I can’t say I nailed the resting. But our gracious Father has taught me even when I’ve failed. He’s teaching me to let go of a fear of failure. He’s teaching me to release control, and enjoy the ride with Him. He can be trusted. Just abide in Him - imagine that! He is teaching me to live from the philosophy of working from the rest, rather than resting from the work.

I like to pray Psalm 65 over Abide in Him as we head into a new year. I would love it if you would join me, and also pray it for yourself. Lord, we ask You to bear much eternal fruit through Abide in Him and all of our lives, for Your glory and the good of Your people. As we see in this passage, You and Your ways make all the difference! You alone are the giver of life.

“You visit the earth and water it,

You greatly enrich it;

The river of God is full of water;

You provide their grain,

For so You have prepared it.

You water its ridges abundantly,

You settle its furrows;

You make it soft with showers,

You bless its growth.

You crown the year with Your goodness,

And Your paths drip with abundance.

They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,

And the little hills rejoice on every side.

The pastures are clothed with flocks;

The valleys also are covered with grain;

They shout for joy, they also sing.”

Psalm 65:9-13
