We Shall Be Like Him

Just look at this verse:

“Beloved, we are God’s children now,

and what we will be has not yet appeared;

but we know that when he appears

we shall be like him,

because we shall see him as he is.”

1 John 3:2

We shall be like Him. Victorious like Him. Glorifying the Father like Him. Enjoying the inheritance like Him. Humble like Him. Holy like Him. Righteous like Him. Compassionate like Him. Kind like Him. Faithful like Him. Disciplined like Him. And we could go on and on. All because of Him!

“For those whom he foreknew

he also predestined

to be conformed to the image of his Son,

in order that he might be the firstborn

among many brothers.”
Romans 8:29

When we see everything in our lives as being used to conform us into the image of Christ, that puts hope in everything. Lord, thank You. Please continue Your work, that more and more others may see Jesus in us; that more and more we may be filled with hope in You.
