To Know The Love Of Christ

It’s so important that we know the love of Christ. A warning about the end times in Matthew 24:12-13 says,

“And because lawlessness will be increased,

the love of many will grow cold.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

We know from 1 Corinthians 13:7 that only Godly love endures. In fact, it endures all things. As nations move away from God’s laws to write their own, they become awful places to live. That lawlessness will cause hearts to grow cold. But keeping God’s ways, and walking with Him makes for joyful living even in the hardest of times. In Ephesians 3:19 Paul prays that they would,

“… know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,

that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Let’s stay in God’s Word and make our relationship with Christ our top priority. Filled with the fullness of God, we are able to glorify Him as He truly is. Filled with the fullness of God, He is able to demonstrate the warmth of His love through us. We are settled and secure because God loves us, He has been so gracious to us, and in Christ we have enough. As children of the King, living in His laws, we are able to go out in His abundant life to minister to others.

Lord, help us to know the love of Christ and be sure of it, so that our hearts will not grow cold, but more in love with You. Thank You for loving us and dying for us even when we were sinners. In You, we have everything.
