Run To Him With The Big And The Small

“Have you not known? Have you not heard?

The LORD is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary;

his understanding is unsearchable.”
Isaiah 40:28

I’m always amazed at the wonder of the One who created us, saved us, and welcomes us into His family through Christ. He created mountain ranges, oceans, and set in motion clouds that pillar in breathtaking display. He reveals His great power and manifold wisdom reminding us that nothing in our lives is too hard for Him. In fact, He wants to show His glory through them.

“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,

who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:

‘I dwell in the high and holy place,

and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,

to revive the spirit of the lowly,

and to revive the heart of the contrite.’”
Isaiah 57:15

I can’t get over that the same great God who thought of mountain ranges and Redwood trees also created intricate living cells we can’t even see on our own. I was looking at some beautiful bougainvillea blooms realizing that He “bothered” to put a flower in a flower! Detail that has beauty and purpose. It reminded me that He doesn’t just want to reveal His glory through the big things in our lives. He wants to reveal Himself through the little things too. Nothing is too big, and nothing is too small; run to Him with all of it. 1 Peter 5:7 says,

“…casting all your anxieties on him,

because he cares for you.”

He desires intimate relationship with us. Oh, Lord. Help us to take full advantage that You would be glorified in every aspect of our lives!
