No More Hurt

“And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,

the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,

the Spirit of counsel and might,

the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.”
Isaiah 11:2

The Spirit of Christ in us provides that wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and reverence in order to be lights of God’s love and truth. Isaiah 11 goes on to say that one day everyone will live in peace – not the “world peace” and “coexist” that the world seeks. They want it their way, without Jesus, and that will never fly. Isaiah 11 reveals peace between: the wolf and the lamb; leopard and young goat; calf and young lion; cow and bear. That’s impressive. A lion eats straw like the ox; a nursing child plays safely by the cobra hole; a weaned child is able to put his hand in the viper’s den. No panic, no problem. Then Isaiah 11:9 gives us the how,

“They shall not hurt or destroy

in all my holy mountain;

for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD

as the waters cover the sea.”

When people reject God’s wisdom, they are really standing in the way of the only thing that removes hurt and destruction. Those opposing God’s ways, so they can live the way they want, are actually causing hurt and lack of peace. Satan convinces them they are beautiful in their own wisdom, and more highly evolved than the rest. But Christ is coming again, and His knowledge will cover the earth, and all will be made right.
