Governing The Nations

It seems we stay in a perpetual voting season, as campaigns start earlier and earlier. God knows which candidates are vying to truly serve, and which ones are grasping for power to accomplish their own agenda. I’m so thankful to live in America where I can vote, and thankful for those who guard my freedom to do so. I appreciate those running for office for all the right reasons. They have their work cut out for them, and need our prayers.

There’s a verse that’s timely for any campaign season. To the degree a person or nation walks in the wisdom of God, there is prospering in the areas that matter.. To the degree a person or nation veers from God’s ways, so there will be ultimate decline. As we pray for our leaders and those running for office, let’s keep our eye on the eternal ball, so we never lose heart. Politicians and human leaders will fall short. Governments and nations will rise and fall. But believers always have so much to be thankful for. Because there is a day coming…

“Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy!
For You shall judge the people righteously,
And govern the nations on earth. Selah”
Psalm 67:4

You talk about a land of the free and a home of the brave! Come quickly Lord Jesus! Thank You for purchasing our citizenship in our eternal home. We look so forward to Your ultimate reign on this earth when all other powers and authorities cease.
