Drawn to His Majesty

I was looking at a plant that attracts butterflies. Its purple flower rose up tall making me think of purple mountain majesty. What a picture this gives us. Like the butterflies drawn to that flower, we are drawn to God, because of His majesty. Oh Lord, that we would gather to You, and You would reign over us! That Day is coming in its fullness, and even today we can live under His righteous reign through salvation in Christ. Philippians 2:9-11 says,

“Therefore God has highly exalted him

and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,

so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.”

The root of  the word “majesty” comes from “major” or “greater.” Chew over these words for majesty and use them to worship our majestic God.
