An Increasing Brand

We’ve all purchased a brand name this or that, because it represented excellence in a certain product. But after some time and new leadership a brand can ride too long on its name, and the quality goes out the window. Suddenly “brand name that” is just “old hat.”

That concept makes me so thankful for the Name above all names. The Brand we all want to fall under! The Lord’s Name will always represent what it represents. For all eternity, His Name will hold His indescribable worth and wonder. We will never regret that we live and breathe and have our being through that matchless Name. 

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him

and given Him the name which is above every name,

that at the name of Jesus

every knee should bow,

of those in heaven, and of those on earth,

and of those under the earth,

and that every tongue should confess

that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.” 

Philippians 2:9–11

Matthew 1:23 tells us that Jesus is Immanuel which means God with us. Acts 4:12 proclaims that there is salvation in no other name, but Jesus. Proverbs 18:10 assures us that the name of the Lord is our strong tower where we find safety. We would have to read Genesis to Revelation to even begin to touch on the matchless worth of the name of our God. We’ll finish with the end of Isaiah 9:6 which assures us that, 

“His name will be called Wonderful,

Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father,

Prince of Peace.” 

Lord, may we live for the honor of Your great name! May we invest daily in the furtherance of your fame.
