A Glorious Day
As we pasture in Isaiah, we learned in Chapter 1 that we need a Savior! There is everything to gain in Christ, and everything to lose without Him. God’s Way is the only way. God’s Way is Jesus. Look at what Christ’s coming brought about, as we read this prophecy,
“The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw
concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the LORD
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and all the nations shall flow to it…”
Isaiah 2:1-2
Zion has been established through the finished work of the cross. God’s Kingdom has always been sovereign over all. Yet on that Day yet to come, Christ will return and every knee and every nation will fall before Him. Isaiah 2:3 continues,
“,,,and many peoples shall come, and say:
‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.’
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
What an invitation! One day all will know that Jesus is Lord. Those cleansed by His blood will live in the eternal city. Even today we see this prophecy being fulfilled. Since Jesus’ death and resurrection, the good news of His Gospel has spread. Many are streaming to Him to know Him and know His ways. Persecution of Christians is growing globally, and the world tries to lure souls away, but God’s mission cannot be stopped. Glory to the King!
