None Kinder, Smarter, or Higher

God created all that is. He created man to bring Him glory; to enjoy Him, and what He created. He was kind enough to let them know there was one thing of which they could not partake. They were not the Creator and there are some things left only to His wisdom and reign.

Once sin entered, everything was marred. Rather than destroy the rebels who purposefully shattered the beauty and order, He chose to reveal His love, mercy, and grace. He would take on the suffering and punishment of that sin through Jesus Christ. Jesus took on God’s wrath for us, so that we could be spared.

With all of that in mind, it grieves me when people are offended by this kind and holy God. Many are deceived into seeing Him as something to mock or avoid or claim to not believe. They continue in the way of rebels, because they want to be their own god and His ways don’t line up with theirs.

Lord, open eyes to see You as You truly are; One to be feared and adored. No one is kinder, wiser, or above You.

He did this when we so very much did not deserve it. Lord, thank You that every knee will bow. There is none like You!
