Lessons from Jeremiah 18: God Is Working – Part II
Let’s take our previous truth regarding God being at work and mediate on Scripture to honor our Vinedresser, Potter, God, and King. Thus far in Jeremiah 18:1-3 we see,
“The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD:
‘Arise, and go down to the potter’s house,
and there I will let you hear my words.’
So I went down to the potter’s house,
and there he was working at his wheel.”
Please ask God to stir wonder in your heart regarding His working and use these verses to pray His Word. We would have to read Genesis to Revelation to pack it all in, but here are a few:
“O Lord GOD,
you have only begun to show your servant your greatness and your mighty hand.
For what god is there in heaven or on earth
who can do such works and mighty acts as yours?”
Deuteronomy 3:24
“For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;
at the works of your hands I sing for joy.”
Psalm 92:4
The works of his hands are faithful and just…”
Psalm 111:7a
“The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works”
Psalm 145:17
“Jesus answered,
‘It was not that this man sinned, or his parents,
but that the works of God might be displayed in him.’”
John 9:3
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority,
but the Father who dwells in me does his works.”
John 14:10
“For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
