HIS

A theme lately has been something obvious – everything belongs to the Lord. When we talk about laboring in the harvest, the harvest is His. In a parable in Matthew 25, Verse 14 says,

“For it will be like a man going on a journey,

who called his servants

and entrusted to them

his property.”

His property. Our very lives and all that’s been entrusted to us are His. We are stewards.

Isaiah 52 speaks of God graciously sending out good news that will bring redemption. Verse 10 says,

“The LORD has bared his holy arm

Before the eyes of all the nations,

And all the ends of the earth shall see

The salvation of our God.”

There is no arm I would rather see. It will be obvious to all that He is God, there is none like Him, He alone can save, and everything belongs to Him. What a gift that He allows us to know this now, so we can live our lives in truth as He trains and equips us to serve Him. Later in Matthew 25 we see a reckoning. For those who put their trust in Christ and use what was His for Him by blessing others, Verse 34b says,

“Come,

you who are blessed by my Father,

inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

For those who did not put their trust in Christ for salvation, and therefore used what was His any way they wanted,

“Depart from me,

you cursed,

into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Matthew 25:41b

I’m convicted to enjoy what He’s given me and hold it loosely; to remember it is His, and enjoy using it all in His service. All glory will rightfully be His.
