Cat In The Attic: Order From Chaos
The other day my cat found her way into an unfinished part of the attic. I had to disorder things to get her out. But in the process I discovered more storage space. By the time it was all done, the area I had to dismantle was in greater order than it’s ever been. I remembered I had been asking God to help me bring order to that space. It reminded me of some spiritual truths.
Our Commander is always blessing us even with training and often through hardship,
“He trains my hands for war,
so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”
2 Samuel 22:35
Spiritually speaking, we are always at war and a mind set in truth is important. One minute we could be thankful, and the next something negative vies for our attention. I don’t mean we ignore things that need to be dealt with. But we pay attention to see what God has planned. We may not see the reason this side of eternity, but we can trust Him.
“As for you, you meant evil against me,
but God meant it for good,
to bring it about that many people should be kept alive,
as they are today.”
Genesis 50:20
Because of our God, even the hard things, even the darts of the enemy can be used for our good and God’s glory. Ephesians 6:16 says,
“In all circumstances take up the shield of faith,
with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one…”
May they all land back on him. We are well equipped servants of the Most High who leads us in victory. What hard thing in our lives might He be using for ultimate good in His perfect plan of the ages?
